Community Outreach

WILC's Community Outreach Program heightens community awareness and understanding of disability-related issues. WILC staff makes presentations to schools, businesses, and civic groups.

The Center provides education and training for community residents, public officials, and local businesses on issues relating to individuals with disabilities, including access, employment, and availability of services. On a fee-for-service basis, we also provide consultation on the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) legislation, evaluating and advising of steps that should be taken to ensure compliance. Programs can be tailored to specific needs upon request.
