If you have prediabetes you are at risk of it progressing to type 2 diabetes in 5 years. Type 2 puts you at risk for heart attack, stroke, blindness, and more.

You can reduce your risk or prevent type 2 with this CDC approved lifestyle change program. The long-term support of a year long program can give you the skills you need to lose weight, be more physically active and manage stress.

A trained lifestyle coach will guide and encourage you and you will get the support of other participants with the same goals as you.

We will meet weekly, followed by bi-monthy and then monthly to give you ongoing support and the information you need.

Email dheilbrunn@wilc.org or call 845.988.7374 ext. 1126.

Calling for Home Care

We would like to invite you to the premiere of an amazing short film “Calling for Home Care”, which lifts up the home care crisis in the midst of COVID-19. The New York Association for Independent Living is releasing this film in partnership with our coalition, the NY Caring Majority, as part of our fight to demand increased wages and benefits for home care workers across the state.

Watch the film and sign the petition to tell New York State JUST PAY FOR HOME CARE IN NY!
