TBI/NHTD Waiver Administrative: Referrals and Housing

JOB ANNOUNCEMENT

WILC/PILS are consumer controlled nonresidential centers for independent living, which provides information and advocacy to persons with disabilities. In addition, WILC/PILS operates a NYC Regional Resources Development Center (RRDC) for two DOH Waiver Programs covering the five (5) boroughs. The goal of both Programs is to develop home and community-based services and supports needed by individuals and family members who experience a disability.

POSITION: TBI/NHTD Waiver Administrative: Referrals and Housing

HOURS: Full time, 35 hours per week, with benefits

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conduct initial referral screenings to individuals seeking wavier services in the region
  • Maintain files on all waiver referrals/applicants
  • Follow up with all referrals until the intake process begins
  • Track and follow up on TBI/NHTD subsidy Housing Qualification Standard Checklist/Quality Issues
  • Monitor TBI/NHTD housing emails and disseminate housing information to waiver providers
  • Assist with all waiver mass mailings
  • Assist with TBI/NHTD Housing Audit
  • Assist with preparation and submission of all reports and tracking forms as needed
  • Assist in arranging the required trainings/workshops for NYC Waiver providers and community as needed
  • Attend required meetings and conferences for DOH Waiver
  • Conduct any other duty as assigned by Lead RRDS/SR RRDS that will promote and enhance the development of the waiver in the NYC Region

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Degree/certification or equivalent experience
  • Demonstrated abilities in written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to use word processing computer programs
  • Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license and insurance coverage.
  • Experience working with people with disabilities a plus.
