1.22.2019 On Thursday, the Senate passed the Medicaid Extenders Act of 2019 (H.R. 259). Now the bill has passed both the House and Senate, and is awaiting the President’s signature. It provides three-month extensions of both Medicaid home and community based services (HCBS) spousal impoverishment protections and the Money Follows the Person Program. Although these extensions are short they provide an important bridge to keep the programs going while we work with Congress on longer term solutions.
